Phoenix Program Agreement

Students in the probation or critical probation process are required to meet with an academic advisor twice for the Phoenix Program Agreement.

First Required Appointment

Deadline by the Friday of the fourth week of classes.

In this appointment you will fill out the Phoenix Program Agreement. Filling out the agreement with an advisor ensures that you:

  1. understand the semester GPAs that will be required to avoid critical probation or dismissal and to raise your IU GPA to 2.0 (good standing),
  2. review where you stand in relation to the admission GPA requirement for your intended major/program,
  3. identify your academic goals for the semester ahead and consider challenges you may face in achieving them, and
  4. sign the Phoenix Program Agreement.

To prepare for this appointment:

  1. come prepared with a list of classes you are interested in taking,
  2. explore majors or minors you are considering, and
  3. write down any questions you have about enrollment.
